JODI EWART WINS SILVER TEE AWARD

At the ELGA AGM in December, it was announced that Jodi Ewart of Catterick Golf Club had won the Silver Tee Award for the way in which she has developed her golf whilst studying at university.  2007 County Captain, Sue Milner, was proud to collect the award on Jodi's behalf.  Jodi is currently in her second year at the University of New Mexico, having had an outstanding first year, and is currently 19th in the US college women's rankings, having been placed in the top 15 of every event so far.

LATEST - CONGRATULATIONS TO JODI ON BEING SELECTED FOR THE GB & I CURTIS CUP TEAM

Jodi is one of three England internationals who have been selected for the GB & I Curtis Cup team. The other two are Hampshire’s Liz Bennett, and Lancashire’s Florentyna Parker. They will join Breanne Loucks of Wales and four Scottish players to take on the USA in the biennial match over the Old Course, St Andrews from 30 May to June 1.

Jodi, who at 20 years of age, is the 2007 English strokeplay champion and gains her place in the team following notable successes on the US college circuit. She is a student at the University of New Mexico and won the 2007 Mountain West Conference championship and was named their player of the year. She had six top ten finishes in 2006-07. We wish Jodi all the best when she competes at the end of May.
